Diagnosis before quote
We test the unit and identify the failed component first. You approve a price for a named repair — not an open-ended visit.

Everything we do
One trade, done properly: repair, replacement and maintenance for tank, electric and tankless water heaters in Pflugerville homes — with permits and inspections handled on every replacement.
Leaks at fittings and valves, rumbling tanks, water that's too hot, too cold or runs out fast. We test the components, name the failed part, and repair it when the tank itself is sound.

Not sure what's wrong?
Most water heater symptoms have a short list of causes, and the cheap checks come first. No hot water at all is usually the upper element, its thermostat, or a tripped reset on an electric unit — and a pilot or thermocouple problem on a gas one. Water that runs out early points at the lower element or the dip tube. Rumbling means sediment. An error code on a tankless unit names its own fault family.
Our no-hot-water guide walks through those checks in order, including the make-safe steps for leaks and gas smells. If the checks point at a part, that's the repair we quote — tested at the unit, not assumed over the phone.
How pricing works
We price against published national data — Angi's 2026 ranges, checked November 2026 — and confirm your exact figure in writing before work begins. Most repairs nationally run $228–$1,018; a standard replacement $881–$1,826. Parts and labour are separated on the quote, and replacements include the permit, pan, expansion tank and haul-away as named lines.
The cost guide breaks those numbers down by job and shows how to sanity-check any quote — including ours. If a repair doesn't make sense for your unit's age, we'll show you the replacement maths instead and let the numbers decide.
Every visit
The same discipline whether the job is a $200 element or a full replacement.
We test the unit and identify the failed component first. You approve a price for a named repair — not an open-ended visit.
If the tank is leaking from the body or the repair costs more than half a replacement on an old unit, we say so and show the numbers both ways.
Replacements are permitted through CityWorks and inspected by the city. You don't chase paperwork — we file it as part of the job.
Temperature set to 120°F, sediment flushed, anode condition reported. The visit ends with the heater set up for Pflugerville's 168 mg/L water.

Describe the symptom — no hot water, a leak, a noise, an error code — and we'll point you at the right fix before anyone picks up a wrench.
